The NEW Triplett 3279 cable rater measures dB loss and gain in cable distribution systems. It also checks for bad cables, bad splitters, bad switches, bad connectors/connections and bad amplifiers. Its efficient transmitter permits hours of testing without replacing the battery!

Its receiver, which contains a blue backlit display for testing in poorly lit areas, is user configurable for continuous operation or timed auto shut-off. The 3279 cable rater works with typical “power injector” amplifier systems and tests all types of RG-59 and RG-6 coaxial cables. And most importantly, it is lightweight and affordable!
